Chocolate chip cookies

It was supposed to yield 4 dozen but I ended up with 11 dozen I don't know why.

I've finally finished reading One Day which I borrowed from Claudia approximately one month ago. Speaking of which, I haven't seen her since that day! HELLO I MISS YOU.
I started my first day of work at the dog cafe at Nex on Tuesday. It was surprisingly busy, not quite what I expected for a Tuesday. Apart from breaking a glass cup on my first day of work it was okay. Tiring but alright. I guess I was lucky that the boss wasn't around during my shift because from what I heard from a fellow trainee, she was very strict and fierce. I also feel like I'm severely underpaid and I feel like quitting this job but I'll work a few more times first.
Meanwhile I'm gonna start work at A&F this Thursday! I foresee myself being extremely lost on the job but I really can't wait to start work proper. I'm kinda in need of money. Heh.
Oh, and happy lunar new year! I had my reunion dinner at a restaurant. Our dinner was supposed to start at 5.30pm but we only started an hour later thanks to my grandmother who decided to go all drama-mama on us. She comes up with something every single year which will cause everyone around her to get annoyed and unhappy and even causing inconvenience. Also, my aunt's husband actually took a cloth napkin that belongs to the restaurant and put it into his bag discretely BUT, thanks to my penchant for observing people, I SAW IT and I was like all WTF?! Seriously? Restaurant napkin also want to steal? I never liked him one bit and this thing he did just made me dislike him even more. Thank God I'm not related to him by blood or I'd severe all possible ties with him long ago. I'm serious.
So there you go, a snippet of my (rather dysfunctional) extended family.
Today will be a day of visiting relatives that I only meet once a year, and of course there'll be typical questions that the adults are going to ask me. Finish A levels already? Wah so fast! When are your results coming out? Must get all A's ah! Which uni do you plan to go to? What do you intend to study? Are you learning driving? So what are you doing now? Etc.
I always envy some/most of my friends who have such joyous, close-knit families where all the cousins play mahjong and daidee and all that typical fun stuff that big groups of kids play. I've never had cousins the same age or around the same age as me so I don't have anyone to play with. It's just my sis and I in our own world, estranged from all my relatives. That's why every lunar new year is boring (and might I add sad) to me.
So I hope my friends will have a happy, unboring lunar new year playing with their cousins unlike me. I'll be concentrating on eating pineapple tarts and collecting red packets instead. :)
P.S. I'm thinking of changing my blog layout. I love my current layout a lot though which is why I've been using it for a long time now, which is why I feel like I ought to change it. So change? Yes no?
